Who are You?
Maybe you have just graduated top of your class. Maybe you have offers from all those big corporate Canary Wharf types. Maybe you are sitting, right now, in a grey cubicle running the same code for the fortieth time this week.
You are an outstanding engineer with a laser focus on detail. You love a puzzle, and more importantly, you take pride in solving that puzzle in the most effective way. We know you are the kind of person who wants to learn, who wants to work with the best, who wants to be constantly stretched and pushed beyond your boundaries.
You can code but you can also communicate. You can follow but you can also innovate. You can inspire your team with your knowledge and enthusiasm. You can make things happen.
We don’t care whether you have a background in finance as long as you are hungry to learn and deliver your best every day.
Who are We?
We are no ordinary finance company. We are tech first, finance second. TechFin. We work at the cutting edge, in a fast-moving environment with frequent releases and instant feedback. Every member of the team is judged on their merit, their thinking, their ideas. We are all big cogs in this machine, working together, supporting each other and each having a major impact with everything we do.
Tech is in our DNA – we love to dabble, we love to code, we love all things ‘geek’. There will always be time for learning here (it is Oxford after all!) and our voracious appetite for improvement means there will always be new books on our desks, new conferences to attend, weekly ‘tech film club’ and an annual hack week where we down tools and bring to life our nerdiest dreams.
But above all else, we pull together, we have a shared vision and goals, and we are building something to be proud of.
Where can We go together?
You will be writing mission-critical software in Python or C++. You will be involved in all aspects of software development for our data ingestion and distribution platforms, order management, position tracking, monitoring and reporting systems.
We will make sure that you have everything you need at your fingertips to achieve your goals… the usual generous bonus scheme, private health insurance, pension, life assurance and long term disability cover are all part of the deal of course. But so is our weekly frisbee throw about. And the well-stocked kitchens on every floor… and of course skiing at our annual conference in the Swiss Alps. Where can we go together? That is up to you…

We want to hear from you if you would like to be part of an exceptional team, are ambitious and would relish the challenge. We offer excellent compensation and benefits, and are a collaborative, open and friendly team.
